Routine Examinations & Health Care

Examinations

Thorough health and wellness exams, vaccine office calls, dental exams, health certificates, and routine physical examinations of dogs, cats, reptiles, ferrets, rodents, guinea pigs, some species of cage birds, and more!

Permanent Identification

Tattooing and AVID Microchip Identification available in-house. The AVID ID system is composed of a tiny microchip that contains a unique identification number allowing your pet to by identified directly (via national registration with AVID's PETtrac Database) or through the hospital at which the chip was inserted (no registration necessary). The AVID FriendChip fits through a hypodermic needle and is inserted under your pet's skin, much like a vaccine is given, and provides a lifetime of protection that can't fade or fall off. When your pet arrives at a veterinary clinic or animal shelter they will be scanned with a hand-held device to determine the identification number. As long as your contact information is kept up to date with your veterinarian and/or AVID, you will be contacted immediately! National registration is more strongly recommended for frequent travelers or those that have moved away from the veterinary clinic where the chip was inserted. AVID ID systems can be used to identify virtually any type of pet, from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, exotics, and even fish!
